He says: "I used to go to church with my parents. They always told me, ‘Whenever you commit some mistake, just say sorry to the Father, the Lord in church. He is very merciful, and He will forgive you.’

But I used to wonder, who is this Father? How does He look? When I asked my parents, they had no answer. When I asked the priest of the church, he also could not give me a clear answer.

One day, I saw a group of people dancing on the street with mridanga and other instruments. I thought to myself, ‘Why are they so happy?’ I had never heard such songs before, but I was attracted because I could see genuine joy and smiles on their faces.

One person from that group came to me and said, ‘They are dancing and chanting the holy name of the Lord. If you also chant, you will naturally feel the same happiness and dance like them.’ Then he gave me a Russian edition of the Bhagavad Gita to read.

There I found the verse:

“Pitāham asya jagato māta dhātā pitāmahaḥ”

(Lord Krishna says: I am the father, the mother, the sustainer, and the grandfather of this universe.)

Then I realized — He is the eternal Father. After that, I began to visit ISKCON, took initiation, and started my sadhana.

Now, by His mercy, I am known as a preacher in the western countries.

Our Gaudiya Math is not an ordinary temple. It is a divine mission established with one ultimate goal:

BACK TO HOME, BACK TO GODHEAD

To prepare ourselves in such a way that we become free from the endless cycle of birth and death."
