— "Offer your mind to Me, become devoted to Me, worship Me, and surrender to Me. Being completely absorbed in Me, surely you will come to Me."
The Lord is not asking for wealth, rituals, or elaborate offerings. He simply says, "Give Me your mind—nothing else is needed. That alone will bring Me joy."
So when we chant the mala (japa), we often struggle to focus, especially we should chant without a screen. The mind allready wanders— why let it drift aimlessly even more?
Even if the screen is off and concentration still falters, our revered Nishkinchan Maharaj Ji would say:
"If during one hour of chanting, your mind keeps running elsewhere and you repeatedly bring it back—even if it doesn't stay focused for even a full minute—it is still fully beneficial."
Why?
Because each time you bring your mind back to God, even after it strays, you are making a sincere effort. Your mind may not rest in God, but God's mind begins to rest in you. He sees your attempt—and that's what touches His heart."
