Srila gurudeva—an embodiment of compassion

Sri guru inherits the power of compassion directly from the Supreme Personality of Godhead and descends to this earth enlivened with that power. Imbued with his own natural sweetness and beauty he is the manifested form of divine compassion, affection and grace for all. We cannot surmount the endless cycles of births and deaths and other miseries of the material world to attain absolute bliss without the grace of Sree guru.

“Therefore, without meandering to other forms of devotion, we should chant with one pointed focus while firmly believing in the oneness of the Name and Form of Supreme Lord Sri Krishna. If we can do so then there is no greater form of devotion that can provide us the promised results so quickly. There are thousands of different forms of devotion but chanting the Lord’s Name is the highest and foremost.”

श्रील भक्ति विकास ऋषिकेश गोस्वामी महाराज का आविर्भाव

नमो ॐ विष्णुपादाय गौर प्रेष्ठाय भूतले।

श्रीमते भक्ति विकास ऋषिकेश गोस्वामी इति नामिने।।

बचपन से हीआपके जीवन में वैष्णव के सभी गुण दिखाई देते हैं। आपने अपने गुरुदेव श्रील भक्ति सिद्धांत सरस्वती गोस्वामी ठाकुर प्रभुपाद के नाम पर ही पश्चिम बंगाल के हुगली जिले के रिषड़ा नामक स्थान पर श्री श्रीभक्ति सिद्धान्त गौडी़य मठ की स्थापना की। आप बंगला और हिंदी भाषा में हरिकथा एवं मधुर कीर्तन करते थे। आपने अनेक भव्य सभाओं में प्रभुपाद जी की हरिकथा का प्रचार किया। आपने कई भक्ति के गीत भी लिखे हैं।

अपनी साध्य वस्तु के प्रति सुदृढ़ निष्ठा अथवा प्रगाढ़ लोभ होने पर साधनकाल में धैर्य एवं सहिष्णुता का अभाव अवश्य ही दृष्ट होता है। जगत के साथ स्वयं को Adjust करके तथा परमार्थ पथ से लेशमात्र भी विच्युत नहीं होकर चलने की चेष्टा ही परमार्थ के अनुकूल है, ऐसा मेरा मानना है।
